Poppy

Happy birthday, Poppy!

For those of you who don't know, Poppy is my step dad. I don't know why I call him Poppy (his name is Anthony); I've just always called him that. Poppy and my mom got married when I was about 5, so he's pretty much always been in my life.

He's got to be one of my favorite people ever. And heeeeeere's why

• He gives great advice.
• He's very smart.
• He's hilarious.
• He gives wonderful opinions on fashion.
• He cheers me up.
• He does all sorts of things for me that he doesn't really have to do (like all parents).
• He takes me hunting.
• He makes me feel special and beautiful.
• He's pretty chill.
• He wins stuff all the time {sweet}
• He's really good at fixing things on my car.
• He is a lovely cook.
• He supports my decisions.
• He helps me whenever I ask.
• He's nice to me, but he always tells me things honestly. [he doesn't try to make things sound different than they are]
• He loves my mom and my brothers.
• He is ALWAYS there for me.
• He loves me even when it's hard (which can be often).

My step dad is a amazing person, who does wayyyyy more for me than I will ever deserve. He's sort of like a really awesome friend who can be goofy with you and hang out, but also give you advice and help you at any moment. 

I love him.
