A Healthier Goal

It's not a secret that I really enjoy sweets (just look at my last post). But lately, I've taken my food addiction to a new level. {I pretty much eat everything in sight}. That's all fine and dandy while I'm actually eating but, it kind of sucks afterwards. I don't feel good. I don't have energy. I CAN'T WORK OUT.

I love sports, but, with school and work, I just don't have time to commit to any sports right now. Therefore, working out is the only way I can stay active.

You've probably also noticed that I love making goals and plans. So, I've decided to make another one.

The Goal: Be healthier. Feel better.

The Plan: I want to eat healthier and becoming more active. As far as my atrocious eat habits go, I'll have to look up how to make a well balanced meal and control portions (and cravings). To be more active, I want to run more. I love running, but I want to be able to run farther. I'm setting my running goal for a 10k (6.2 miles). I'm going to use Hal Higdon's 10-K Training Guide to give me a schedule and a timeframe to reach a 10k running level.

I'm not trying to do this to lose weight or to completely cut out eating sweets (because we all know that would never happen). I really just want to feel better. I want to feel more active and healthy. It's important to create healthier habits now, before I'm thrown into college, where junk food and laziness will be everywhere.

Hopefully by actually writing down my plan, I'll be motivated to stick to it.

I'll keep you posted!
