What items would you get if your house was on fire?
Here are the rules: You can only grab 3 things. No pets or people (they can get out on their own).I thought about it for a while. {obviously, if my house was actually on fire, I would have to make a quicker decision}
- My planner. I have to be honest. I love my Lilly Pulitzer planner (stereotypical white girl, I know). I adore being organized and writing things down. It's really a good stress reliever, too. I always have everything I need to do written out, so I don't feel overwhelmed or forget to do anything.
- My Bible. It's my reminder that everything always turns out fine because God has a purpose for everything. The notes I've written in my Bible are my interpretation of things, but also reminders of God's love for me NO MATTER WHAT.I haven't been going to church lately, but I believe that's fine. I'm still able to worship and maintain my relationship with God without being surrounded by 200 other people. [religion- a good blog topic coming up]
- My grandmother's bracelet. My grandparents started dating when they were 14. That's crazy. They would have been married for 50 years this year. My grandfather gave my grandmother a charm bracelet when they started dating and continued adding charms to it throughout their life together. It has a charm from his senior trip to New York, a hope chest from when they got married, a cross, an anchor, and a heart to symbolized faith, hope, and a love, a church that has the Lord's Prayer written inside, and a bunch of other fabulous charms documenting their life. When my grandfather got sick a few years ago, they gave it to me. My dad added one charm to it for my 16th birthday. I never wear it. It's way too special.
Losing these things would be pretty devastating.
What would you grab? (feel free to leave comments)
